TRNT Independent Board Member application now open

Expressions are sought from persons interested in becoming an Independent Board member of Thoroughbred Racing Northern Territory (TRNT), the Principal Club of thoroughbred horse racing in the Territory.
TRNT Board members are appointed for three-year terms, with retiring Board members eligible for re-appointment. The independent vacancy is to be filled in advance of March 2021, with the successful candidate to attend the 17 March 2021 Board meeting.
The TRNT Board meets approximately six (6) times minimum per year in Darwin or Alice Springs. Board members receive appropriate remuneration and travelling/accommodation allowances where applicable.
The powers of the Principal Club are detailed in Section 44 of the
Racing and Betting Act.
Formal expressions of interest should detail skills, qualifications, life/work experience, all appointments and positions held, and must be received by the Chief Executive, Thoroughbred Racing NT, by close of business on Thursday, 31 December 2020.
