HEART OF EDEN (R Vigar) – Proved difficult to load. Bumped at the start.
ATOMIC’S PICK (J Lyon) – Commenced awkwardly and bumped.
RABHAAN (P Shiers) - Proved difficult to load. Bumped at the start.
BENZAGAIN (K Cross) – Bumped at the start.
LE EITHNE (W Davis) – Compounded mid race. A post race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to be mildly lame in the off hind. Trainer G Lefoe advised that the gelding would be retired.
Race 2: 0-64 - 1000M
Stewards interviewed trainers C Pollard and C Spry in regards to the riding instructions they intended to issue bearing in mind both stables had multiple runners in the event.
BROOKLYN (W Davis) – Raced keenly in the early stages and had a tendency to lay inwards approaching the first turn bumping with another runner.
SOPHACLES (C Spry) – Slow into stride.
OUR BAY ROE (J Lyons) – Raced wide throughout.
SO STOIC (M Hagley) – Had a tendency to lay inwards in the straight and as a result was reluctant to improve between runners near the 200m.
SNITZEL MUSIC (V Arnott) – Raced in restricted between the 800m and the 700m and contacted the running rail becoming unbalanced.
Race 3: WFA HCP - 1300M
ACTION AGAIN (J Lyon) – Raced wide throughout.
CHERABIN (M Hagley) - Bumped rounding the home turn. Lay inwards and bumped another runner at the 300m.
STATUE OF WARRIORS (W Davis) – Bumped at the start.
HEARTZ ABLAZE (B Huppatz) – Contacted the fence when leaving the mounting enclosure prior to the race and sustained an abrasion to the off hip. After undergoing a veterinary examination at the barriers the mare was cleared to compete. Commenced awkwardly and bumped. Lay outwards and bumped another runner rounding the home turn. Trainer D Bates advised that following the unplaced performance the mare would now be sent for a spell.

BARTENDER MAN (B Huppatz) – Bumped at the start. Lay outwards through the middle stages.
BORLUNG (R Oakford) – Bumped at the start.
FUSAICHI EAGLE (M Hagley) – Bumped shortly after the start. Raced wide throughout.
LITTLE BITA SASS (R Vigar) - Raced wide throughout.

Stewards interviewed trainer G Clarke in regards to the riding instructions he intended to issue bearing in mind his stable had multiple runners in the event.
RYE (W Davis) – Bumped and unbalanced shortly after the start.
SNOWY BLACK (R Oakford) – Bumped and hampered at the start.
SAVATONE (M Hagley) – Carried outwards, crowded and bumped on straightening.
ABLE KEN (J Lyon) – Commenced awkwardly and bumped. Raced wide on straightening.
TATMAGOUCHE (V Arnott) – Cast the near fore plate in running.
THE WILD SIDE (P Shiers) – Taken outwards on straightening to secure clear running and contacted another runner.
WINDFOLA (P Denton) – Shifted out and bumped shortly after the start.
MATE’S REWARD (B Huppatz) – A post race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. Following the unplaced performance trainer C Pollard advised the gelding will be retired.
BETTSIE (K Cross) – Bumped at the start. Raced wide throughout.
General – On inquiry jockey P Shiers (THE WILD SIDE) was reprimanded for careless riding under AR137(a) for permitting his mount to shift outwards at the top of the straight to secure a clear run resulting in SAVATONE being momentarily hampered.
