RACE 1: TROBIS 3&4 YEAR OLD BMNT HANDICAP 1300M

MULTIZONE (F Bergstrand) – Steadied outwards leaving the 900m.

DELTA D'OR (R Vigar) – Carried outwards near the 900m and raced wide from thereon.

ANOTHER MAN'S GAIN (S Ridler) – Commenced awkwardly and bumped.

THE PRESTIGE (V Arnott) – Bumped at the start.

THE WILD SIDE (K Brooks) – Bumped at the start.

MARY ZARIZ (B Huppatz) – Had its bridle refitted behind the barriers. Bumped and crowded at the start. Following the unplaced performance trainer C Pollard advised that the mare would be retired.

PRECURSOR (S Altieri) - Shifted outwards when racing keenly near the 900m.

IWAUNA (W Davis) – Raced wide from the 600m.

RACE 2 – -0-58 HANDICAP 1200M

CRACKAJACK (R Oakford) – Raced wide throughout.

DUKE OF YORK (R Vigar) – Held up leaving the 300m. Disappointed for a clear run and impeded near the 200m and then unable to secure clear running until over the concluding stages.

KING KAZOU (P Denton) – When questioned regarding his riding over the concluding stages rider advised that his mount had worked hard in the early stages to press forward and lead from the outside barrier. He explained that he had tested the gelding with the whip from the 200m but had reverted to a hands and heels manner over the concluding stages as in his opinion the gelding had peaked on its run. This explanation was noted.

TODABAR (M Tyndall) – Bumped at the 650m.

MELANION (C Spry) – Lay inwards under pressure and contacted another runner near the 200m.

SUPER SWIFT (B Huppatz) – Commenced awkwardly. Got its head in the air when steadied near the 600m.

CHICA CALIENTE (S Altieri) – Lay outwards and bumped another runner at the 650m and became unbalanced losing ground. Impeded from heels inside the 400m.

RACE 3 – BENCHMARK 76 HANDICAP 1100M

AFRICAN PULSE (M Tyndall) – Bumped and steadied near the 800m. Raced wide for the majority of the event.

HUSSARS (S Altieri) – Crowded and eased near the 600m.

RED MAGNET (K Brooks) – Lay inwards between the 300m and the 200m when tested with the whip.

ALCOBRO (P Denton) – Crowded near the 800m.

PHOENIX ARIZONA (S Ridler) – Commenced awkwardly.

BRANDY NAN (V Arnott) – Raced wide throughout.

General – On inquiry jockey S Altieri (HUSSARS) was reprimanded for careless riding under AR137(a) for allowing her mount to shift ground outwards near the 800m resulting in ALCOBRO being crowded onto AFRICAN PULSE which was bumped and steadied by its rider.

At a further inquiry jockey R Vigar (CLASSY AL) was reprimanded for careless riding under AR137(a) for allowing his mount to shift inwards when not clear near the 600m resulting in HUSSARS being crowded and eased by its rider.

RACE 4 – 0-64 HANDICAP 1100M

The start of this race was delayed for an extended period due to the Ambulance officers having to attend to a licensee in the race day stalls. Given the circumstances Stewards were unable to provide an amended start time.

KISS THE CONDOR (R Oakford) – Commenced awkwardly.

THE CONCORDE (R Vigar) – Unable to muster early speed. Taken wide on straightening.

TIGRA (K Brooks) – Raced wide throughout.

MACON COUNTY (V Arnott) – Raced wide in the early stages.

RACE 5 – BENCHMARK NT HANDICAP 1600M

The start time of this event was amended to 6.00pm.

Stewards interviewed trainer’s G Clarke and T Halter in regards to the riding instructions they intended to give each jockey as both stables had three runners in the event.

KING KEV (K Brooks) – Raced wide from the 1000m.

LAGO GIRL (S Ridler) – Raced keenly passing the 1100m.

HARREBS TIME (R Vigar) – Held up for clear running passing the 500m.

BOMBER BROWN (B Huppatz) – Commenced awkwardly.

ITCHYZARIZ (S Altieri) – Raced wide throughout.

FRENCH TUSSON (V Arnott) – Got its head in the air when being steadied rounding the 1400m turn. Raced keenly between the 1100m and the 600m.

SMASHER (W Davis) – Slow into stride. Raced keenly in the middle stages.
