BARTENDER MAN (F Bergstrand) – Bumped at the start.

DISCO  (P Denton) – Bumped between runners at the start. Raced greenly in the early and middle stages and lay inwards under pressure in the straight. A post race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.

AMIGO MIO (V Arnott) – Bumped and buffeted between runners at the start. Commenced to compound mid race. Rider advised that the gelding coughed following the race. A post race veterinary revealed an elevated heart rate. Trainer B Richard advised that he intends to have blood tests taken from the gelding and will advise Stewards accordingly of the results.

ATOMIC’S PICK (R Vigar) – Bumped at the start.

RABHAAN (D Tourneur) – Bumped at the start. Shifted out and brushed with another runner on straightening.

TEMPT (J Lyon) – Brushed with another runner on straightening.

FUSAICHI EAGLE (M Hagley) – Bumped at the start.

SPEND UP (B Huppatz) – Returned with an abrasion to the near hind.

Race 3: 0-64 1100m

BROOKLYN (C Spry) – Veered inwards and lost ground at the start. Rider accidentally dropped his whip near the 200m.

KING KAZOU (K Gladwin) – Bumped at the start. Raced wide throughout.

SO STOIC ( M Hagley) – Proved difficult to load.

LARISTON (D Tourneur) – Raced wide throughout.

ALPHA MATE (B Huppatz) – Bumped at the start.

Race 4: BM76 1000m

Stewards interviewed trainer G Clarke in regards to the riding instructions he intended to issue bearing in mind his stable had multiple runners in the event.

ACTION AGAIN ( J Lyon) – Commenced awkwardly and lost ground.

POET’S CHOICE  (P Denton) – Raced wide throughout.

Race 5: BM54 1600m

PRECURSOR (C Spry) – Commenced to compound mid race. Subsequently trainer B Richard reported that the gelding was slow to recover and advised that he intends to have blood tests taken from the gelding and will advise Stewards accordingly of the results.

TATMAGOUCHE  (V Arnott) – Returned with a laceration to the off hind pastern.

CELEBRATE  (D Tourneur) – Cast the off fore plate in running.

LITTLE BIT SASS (R Vigar) – Slow into stride.

Race 6: BM54 1600m

Due to the approach of a storm front, the start time of this event was brought forward to 6.10pm. The race was run during torrential rain.

SAVATONE (R Vigar) – Raced wide from the 1000m.

REDWOOD GARDENS (M Hagley) - Raced wide from the 1000m.

General – Stewards intend to interview jockey F Bergstrand in relation to her whip use in the straight when she rode BORLUNG.
